Weekly Happies - Vol. 14
THINGS THAT BROUGHT ME JOY, MADE ME SMILE, FAVORITE THINGS...
4th of July Fun. A classic car show on the town Plaza, a neighborhood parade, and a backyard BBQ, followed by fireworks. What a way to celebrate our Nation’s birthday!
Spontaneous Train Town Trips. What a treat to live so close to this little gem. We can pop over anytime, and enjoy the train and carnival rides.
Speaking of Carnival Rides… I have become a huge fan of the Scrambler again. I loved this ride as a kid, but had to take a hiatus after having kids. Something about birthing humans messed with my equilibrium and spin tolerance. It’s been so fun getting back on, and not feeling like I’m going to hurl afterwards!
Visiting Dad at Work. It’s been a big couple weeks for Wes, and we are SO proud of him! He started his dream job with Three Fat Guys on the 1st. The boys and I popped into the tasting room to visit this week, and it was so fun to see him in action. We’ve loved this brand for years, and if you haven’t been in to their tasting room yet you need to check it out!
Exploring Bart Park. This local park/winery has been a family favorite for years. (We’ve celebrated many special occasions here, including our gender reveal for Max!) Last year, during the shutdown, it was our saving grace. I would take the kids at least once per week to ride bikes, explore the grounds, and picnic. It was our little escape. We went back with friends this week, and it remains a favorite.
Swim Days. We spent Thursday afternoon by our family’s pool, and it was so nice! Max has been doing so great with his swimming, and Levi is thoroughly enjoying the Baja shelf area that is prey much his private pool.
Summer Mornings. We are still soaking up the quiet, slow mornings. It’s all about cartoons, and toaster waffles until about 10:00am.
New Barstools. You guys. My girlfriends clued me in to an incredible sale at the Serena & Lily outlet in Vacaville. We scored 4 GORGEOUS outdoor barstools for only $49 each!!
Vana Chupp Necklace. I’ve had my eye on these necklaces since seeing a favorite IG influencer wearing one years ago. I finally went ahead and ordered one during their Christmas in July sale, and I am SOOOOOO excited!!!
Bedtime Cuddles with Max. This has become one of my favorite parts of the day. We lay together in his bed, and talk about our day. (Side note: don’t invest in the super cool looking kid’s beds. You’ll have to get your not-kid-sized body in and out of it, and trust me, it’s an event.) I love these quiet moments, just the two of us.
